In 1868 it was decided to erect a monument to the glory of the heroine. The space is lacking in Rouen, it is being built at Bonsecours. The 2-meter statue is placed in the main Renaissance-style aedicula, the dome is surmounted by a gilded statue of Saint Michael, the two small buildings on either side housing statues of Saint Margaret and Saint Catherine. The monument was inaugurated in 1892. (Source: Rouen Normandy website).
