Small single track along the Échets stream. It is a bucolic setting at the edge of the city.

On the heights of Fleurieu sits this Virgin Mary. It offers a beautiful view of the Saône and the Monts d’Or.

Beautiful path along Ruisseau des Échets, accompanied by signs erected along the way by a small story. I have marked the midpoint, the path itself extends along the feeder from northeast to southwest.

The bridge over the Saône dates from 1934 (beginning of construction 1931). It was built a few meters downstream from the old Seguin type suspension bridge dating back to 1832, which explains why it is not in line with the Rue Victor Hugo facing it. It was inaugurated by Edouard Herriot, then president of the council, August 15, 1935, the day of the patron saint of the city. An arch was dynamited by the Germans during their retreat on September 2, 1944; it has been restored identically. It is a unique example of a concrete bridge in bowstring, with 3 bays, of respective lengths 50, 58 and 50 meters. Each of the 3 aprons is suspended from two parallel reinforced concrete arches by concrete pillars. The parallel arches are secured by superstructures also in concrete. The sidewalks are located outside the arches. The overall width of the set is 12.20 meters. To give it a sufficiently stable base, it was necessary to dig the foundations of one of its piles up to 38 meters below the level of the Saone. The profile of this three-arch bridge has been adopted by the municipality of Neuville as the city's logo. https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neuville-sur-Sa%C3%B4ne#Lieux_et_monuments
