In fact, the former B2 federal highway follows a very old trade route. At this point along the route, there were stables for horses used for reinforcements or traded, as well as wheelwrights for carriages. This steep section was bypassed during the construction of the federal highway. The A9 is, so to speak, the next upgrade to the B2 in terms of speed and comfort.
