Several improvements have been made to the crossing of the Saint Pierre du Mont nautical base: The step at the entrance to the area on the east side (Mont de Marsan) has been rectified: a stabilized inclined section has been created. At the level of the swimming lake, the route has been modified: it is no longer necessary to go around the swimming area and venture onto the initial chaotic "single". You can now reach the west exit (Dax side) directly - while keeping your bike in hand. The signage has been updated. The crossing, however, remains unsuitable for bikes with thin tires.

A cooperatively organized bicycle initiative that produces used new bicycles and helps people to repair and maintain their bicycles. An annual membership of 20 euros gets you involved. A wonderful initiative that has helped us a lot! Thank you Stefan and his colleagues! It's so good to keep finding such guardian angels! The church of Sainte-Croix is a 12th century Romanesque church located in the municipality of Carcarès-Sainte-Croix which has around 520 inhabitants and is located in the center of the Landes, between Mont-de-Marsan and Dax. The village is a very ancient settlement, due to the river, on the edge of which two "fortified" Romanesque churches were built and have been almost entirely restored.

Its swimming lake and its 7,000 m² white sand beach allow you to enjoy aquatic pleasures. A second 2-hectare basin is reserved for freshwater fishing. A playground accessible to people with disabilities as well as a volleyball court. Located on the edge of the swimming lake, the restaurant-bistro “Fourchette et sable blanc” open all year round offers the possibility of dining on site and offers take-away sales. Its different formulas adapt to all desires and appetites. Picnic areas, in the shade of tall pines, are also available. In order to encourage sports and fun activities, the Marsan leisure center has 3 km of cycle paths and 2 km of walking paths. If the one and a half hour fitness trail around the lakes satisfies the most motivated, the treetop adventure course and its 350 m zip line above the swimming lake will delight the most adventurous.
