Tips from the Community

Emmanuel Herviaux
August 5, 2025, Ancienne tour dans le camp d’aviation de point-clos

The place called "Point-Clos" is located north of the Brocéliande massif, in the Gaël-Paimpont state forest. It extends over part of the communes of Gaël (Ille-et-Vilaine), Concoret (Morbihan) and Muël (Ille-et-Vilaine). It is bordered by the D773 departmental road linking Paimpont to Gaël. It houses the remains of a former aviation camp created in 1922. It was occupied by the Luftwaffe from 1940 to 1944. The Allied Air Force used it from the beginning of August to the end of September 1944. It officially lost its status as an airfield in 1955.
