The ruins of the church are located in the French department of Calvados, in the ancient market town of Beuzeval and the current town of Houlgate https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%89glise_Saint-Aubin_de_Beuzeval

The first church in the village of Beuzeval was built in the 12th century. Its Gothic porch, rebuilt in the 15th century, is at the entrance to the Houlgate cemetery. It has been listed as a historic monument since April 27, 1948. When the new town of “Houlgate” was built in 1858, a closer place of worship was needed. Thus Mr. Vergniolle financed the construction of a new chapel (rue Jean Vasnier) which was frequented until the construction of this church. The Saint-Aubin church, built in neo-Gothic style by the architect Barthélémy, was inaugurated in May 1878. The bell tower was completed in 1888 thanks to a donation from the Armengaud family. Some stained glass windows on the side aisles are inlaid with representations of the faces of donors or their children. They were made by Lorin, master glassmaker from the Chartres workshop. https://www.cirkwi.com/fr/point-interet/800579-l-eglise-saint-aubin

A short but beautiful piece of path through an enchanted forest. The eroded ravine has caused some trees to grow bizarrely.

An absolutely recommendable path through the nature reserve. The name comes from the rocks that fell into the sea when there was a great slide down the cliffs and look like black cows (vaches noires). You can see some of these rocks in the sea from a vantage point on the varied trail.
