The quality of the flint is such in this town that the site has been used since time immemorial by man to extract the large flint blades from their cores. These cores (which are in fact the remains of the extraction) have raised so many questions, because they were found everywhere in the surrounding fields without understanding their meanings. The locals have nicknamed them "pounds of Butter" sic! They are sometimes found on the walls of houses in the village, like kinds of talismans.
