Bike barge only really runs on weekends in June. Don’t get caught out like I did and have to ride all the way round/through the salt marshes in the evening wind and rain.

I would like to correct an error in the name of this magnificent port which is called "Port Lérat" which I know very well and which borders one of the most beautiful beaches in Piriac-sur-Mer.

From this path, you have good access to the Guérande salt marshes. This site, classified and protected since 1930, contains exceptional wealth, as much for its fauna, for its flora, as for its salt which gives it international fame. On foot or by bike, the marshes are a must for anyone who loves nature. If you are feeling romantic, prefer their warm ones at the end of the day during the summer. the pools that make up the marsh are dyed in extravagant colors.
