🌴 Vias Plage Promenade – Sea View & Holiday Feeling The promenade of Vias Plage is a must for me. 🌊☀️ It runs slightly elevated behind the dunes and therefore always offers a really beautiful view over the beach and the Mediterranean Sea. Palm trees, small shops, boutiques, restaurants, ice cream parlors and bars provide plenty of holiday feeling. 🍹🍦 Especially in the late afternoon and in the evening, there is a lot going on here and you can stroll along wonderfully. In between, there are always access points to the beach and places from which you can simply look out at the sea. The large "LOVE #VIAS MÉDITERRANÉE" is of course also a perfect photo stop. 📸 Nice mix of beach, sea view, shopping and gastronomy – and at sunset at the latest, it gets really cozy here. 🌅👌🏼 Greetings Marcus 😎✌🏼

⛪ Église Saint-Jean-Baptiste – A journey back in time in the heart of Vias In the heart of Vias' historic center stands the impressive Église Saint-Jean-Baptiste. From the outside, with its dark stone, it already looks quite massive – only inside does it reveal how much history is contained within this church. The church was first mentioned in documents as early as 1156. Its current form largely dates from the 14th and 15th centuries and belongs to the Southern French Gothic style. Particularly interesting: it was formerly part of the Vias town fortifications, thus serving not only a religious but also a protective function. Inside, the large nave, the vaults, and many historical details are striking. Especially worth seeing are the old pulpit, the stained-glass windows, and the large rose window. Since 1907, the church has been listed as a historic monument (Monument historique). 🇫🇷 Anyone strolling through the small alleys of Vias or visiting the market should definitely pop in. Around the center, the streets transform into a large, colorful market – and there really is almost everything. 😎 The selection of food and regional specialties is particularly strong: fresh fish, olives in all sorts of variations, anchovies, seafood, salads, fruits and vegetables, nuts, dried fruits, sausages, and of course wine. 🍷🫒🐟 But that's not all. Between the food stalls, you'll find clothes, shoes, bags, watches, jewelry, fabrics, blankets, handmade wooden items, lavender products, soaps, and lots of other trinkets. Sometimes you have to be careful that "we're just looking" doesn't suddenly turn into a major shopping trip. 😂 It's precisely this mix that makes the market: loud, crowded, colorful, and wonderfully French.
