At the gates of Sologne, between Chambord and Center Parcs, the village of La Ferté-Saint-Cyr offers a stopover rich in discoveries with its forest, its ponds and its history. Like Sologne, forests and ponds occupy the largest area of La Ferté-Saint-Cyr. The "Circuit des étangs" (pond circuit) offers a dive into the wooded and game-rich Sologne. Sologne is a natural region that extends over 3 departments: Loiret, Cher and Loir-et-Cher. Developed from the Middle Ages with the digging of ponds, it is listed in the NATURA 2000 network, which aims to preserve the biological diversity of natural sites identified for the rarity or fragility of wild species, plants or animals, and their habitats. Along the way you will discover the Grand étang de Rhuys, the Étangs du Temple and des Binoches, the forest paths composed of high forests or coppices of oaks, birches, pines, ferns or heathers. 41220 LA FERTE-SAINT-CYR
