Very nice gravel along the banks of the Loire. Know that you are not alone here. Enjoy together, each at their own pace.

Built by Antoine Cristal in 1894, this "between walls" enclosure is a unique plot of vines in the world. It belongs to the Château de Parnay and has been classified as a historical monument since 2010. Antoine Cristal was the inventor of a unique and at the same time extravagant process. Indeed, the vines grow through a hole in a low wall. It is the principle of "cool feet, belly in the sun". Source: https://chateaudeparnay.fr/histoire/le-clos-dentre-les-murs/

A small boat on the Loire with a sensational view of the castle. Simple but good cuisine, and later, cocktail-worthy. (loffard.com)

At this location you are in the middle of an underground labyrinth of Souzay-Champigny. Explanation: underground, in the cliffs and hills, the troglodytes of Saumurois form an enormous underground network. These are unique in France. More than 1 km of tunnels have been dug by man over the centuries to live, shelter and work. Here you can literally dive into a cool past.

Originally constructed in the 10th century by Theobald I, Count of Blois, the château was built as a fortified stronghold to protect a nearby Benedictine abbey. In 1026, it came under the control of Fulk Nerra, Count of Anjou, and was later inherited by the Plantagenets. After its destruction in 1067, the castle was rebuilt by Henry II of England in the late 12th century. https://www.mybkexperience.it.com

Small castle that housed the Queen of Sicily, mother of King René. She probably died there in 1442.
