The Saint Germain de Vault church was built at the beginning of the 16th century to replace a Romanesque building. It goes from a flamboyant Gothic style for its oldest part, the east, to the Renaissance style for the western part. Inside you will find beautiful ancient frescoes of the life of Jesus and magnificent glazing above the altar.

The Cousin Valley is a very relaxing place. It is bordered by many windmills. Moreover it is one of the rare roads in the region without coast. It deserves to be pointed out. I recommend it on the South-West section of Avallon but also on the South-East section.
