"Built around 1200 as a chapel at its current location, the name of the southern part of the town [of Kapellen-Drusweiler] is derived from it. It was rebuilt as a church between 1717 and 1719 after a devastating fire. The church tower was only added in 1846 to replace a ridge turret. Fortunately, the renovations in 1727, 1817, 1961 and 1984 only slightly changed the historical appearance that we see today." The church has a rare "silent" organ.
