From the old Breton "Mor-truc", crossing the sea, or "Mor-Douiz", sea of the druids, Mordreuc is a crossing point from one bank to the other of the Rance. Before the estuary was closed by the dam, you could cross on foot during high tides and reach the Péhou estate opposite, overlooked by its Castle on the Pointe du Chêne Vert. Its tidal mill. Majestic testifies that for centuries peasants came to Mordreuc to deposit the fruit of their labor, further strengthening the activity that reigned in this village.
