I can only agree with Mattia: it's a short stretch of road through fields, but otherwise completely unspectacular, not even worth a tip...

Biederthal is often reached by car from Basel / the Birstal valley, but this point here is nothing special in itself.

The former Altkirch-Waldighofen railway line has been converted into a cycle path in some sections, leading through fields and forests without disturbing car traffic. Highly recommended!

This nice country road offers the cyclists a great alternative to the busy road. The surface is manly good and no traffic.

Before arriving at the Rail Trail, one is surrounded by magnificent half-timbered typical Alsatian houses from 100 years ago. The road is in need of some repairs.

The surface is a good asphalted road which is free from automobile traffic for the most part. This is obvious through a large speed bump im the middle of the road. The officials need to paint this speed bump in a fluorescent color so that one may see it until the last minute as it blends in well with the color of the pavement.

A nice road offering with a few small bumps but nothing to impact ones speed. Enjoy the beautiful Alsatian scenery and architecture along the way.
