The Mayenne Viaduct is an impressive bridge that spans the Mayenne River for 300 meters and offers two ways to cross it: at road level with a bike or car, or at arch level with your feet. At the arch level, a wooden terrace located in the middle offers you a breathtaking view of the river and the surrounding landscape. You can also access the banks and towpath on both sides of the bridge, and enjoy nature and wildlife. The Roche mill in Fromentières is an old water mill, probably of medieval origin, enlarged and modernized in 1843, then rebuilt as a flour mill in 1935 after a fire. You can admire the architecture of the mill, as well as the lock and the bridge which cross the Mayenne. The hike, approximately 4 km long, follows the banks of the river and offers peaceful and relaxing views of the countryside. You can leave the car park near the mill and follow the signs indicating the Moulin de la Roche circuit.
