This highlight is part of a beautiful asphalted car-free road through the forest south of Senlis. However, this stretch of road of approximately 1.5 km in length is also part of a military training area / shooting range, so you cannot always cycle here!!!

⚠️ Closed on: Tuesday, Thursday and Friday!! ⚠️

On these days the area is cordoned off with barriers and you will have to cycle a small unpaved area via the west. This diversion is shown on the yellow warning sign on the south side of the site. Inconveniently enough, this sign is not on the north side of the site. See the photo I posted with this highlight.

The path is publicly accessible all other days of the week and is very worthwhile!
Along the way you will encounter a short steep climb from the north, but not too crazy. Highly recommended.

The memorial was erected to remember the 346 victims (passengers and crew) who died in the Turkish Airlines plane crash on March 3, 1974

Despite the tragic story that took place in this place, the place is beautiful, the forest is beautiful!
