View of the sport near the Belvedere of the Parc d'Olhain. The said 40 meter structure is located at the highest point of the park and takes you up to 210 meters on the highest platforms (there are 8 of them). And a 360° view of the landscapes that surround you also awaits you: in the north the old mining basin and the Monts de Flandres, in the south Artois and its countryside. Two slides allow you to go down faster, they are located at 6 and 10 meters. The castle has been preserved in its original plans. It was built in the Middle Ages (13th and 15th centuries). It is an example of a fortified castle from the plains of Northern Europe. A walk along the “Moats” and an interior visit to the chapel, the vaulted cellars and the floors of the keep are recommended. Enjoy a distant past in the present.

The Caucourt water mill dates from the 16th century. It was rebuilt in the 18th century and was used to grind wheat. Ravaged by a fire in 1981, it was resurrected once again. The bucket wheel fed from above without a water head has been installed since 2009. It identically replaced the last wooden wheel which had not existed since 1938. The wheel is an essential organ that transforms water into energy.
