The prestigious Abbey of Cercamp was founded in 1137 and welcomed François 1er in 1537 and ambassadors of the kings of France, England and Spain in 15582. In the 19th century, Baron Fourment turned Frévent into an industrial city with spinning, wool and flax factories and agricultural machinery. Nowadays Frévent is a lively and pleasant city, the center of many small attractive villages. A beautiful leafy park has also been created, where the Moulin Musée Winterberger is also located.
