A great bike and hiking route runs along here amidst beautiful nature, highly recommended and interesting.

A hike along the Este dike is highly recommended: a beautiful circular walk. Spring or autumn are best. In the height of summer, there's no shade. You'll be treated to various views of the surrounding nature, the Este River, and the thatched-roof houses. There are plenty of benches for taking a short break. The lock house is also very interesting and worth a visit 👍🏼.

Nice little park in Hollenstedt with a crossing over the Este river and a small dog bathing area.

Great downhill section. Nominal direction: from south to north. Some flat curves at the beginning in between the trees that I personally appreciate. Then a descending section that lead to some gaps / jumps (not mandatory, you can take a side line) and then a drop (again, you can choose to skip it). You can go fast up to the end.
