It's not just the castle with its viewpoint that's impressive in Kyburg. The entire village is extremely picturesque and worth a visit.

I never drive through here without lights, some drivers are not considerate, and when leaving Kyburg, you should slow down to walking pace at the bend to the bridge. You never know

When you drive from Kyburg down to Töss, you cross this wooden bridge.

After the easy ride along the Töss, the climb to Kyburg begins. A steep 160 meters in altitude! But the effort is definitely worth it, because the castle of the same name, which was first mentioned in 1027, sits at the top of the rocky spur. If you don't feel like taking a history lesson, you can take a break in one of the restaurants or look forward to the upcoming, rapid descent.

This beautiful old wooden covered bridge is right at the descent from the castle Kyburz to the Töss river. The descent to the bridge is rather steep with a lot of sharp curves which makes it difficult to see if there is already automobile or cycle traffic on the bridge. It is advised to slowdown to cross it.
