The beaver dam dams up the Dütschbach, shortly before it flows into the Sense. The resulting forest lake has grown rapidly in recent years. If there were still isolated shops on the hiking trail until the end of 2020 that led over wet spots, a wooden boardwalk was built in 2021 to cross the spot dryly. A short distance above the boardwalk, the lake now reaches the hiking trail again. Approx. 600 meters further up the hiking trail upstream, another beaver dam is already being built. This time on the other side of the path.
