The St. Katharinental Monastery was a Dominican nunnery on the Rhine near Diessenhofen; it belonged to the Diocese of Constance. Today, the monastery buildings house a clinic of the Canton of Thurgau for rehabilitation and long-term care. The entire Baroque monastery complex with the monastery church is well worth seeing, as is the monastery museum. And of course, "Cafe Katharina" right on the Rhine with a magnificent view of Diessenhofen.

This historic river bathing area offers changing rooms, sun terraces, and access to the clear water. Brave swimmers can drift with the current, while others relax and enjoy the view of the old town, the Munot fortress, and passing boats. The Rhine Bath combines swimming fun, tradition, and a unique river landscape right in the heart of the city.
