For more than 400 years – since 1603 – Château d’Auvernier has been family-owned. With a correspondingly venerable tradition, viticulture has been practiced on around 60 hectares on Lake Neuchâtel since that time. The various grape varieties are used to produce Chardonnay, Chasselas, Gamaret, Garanoir, Merlot, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, and Sauvignon Blanc wines, which can be tasted and purchased on site.
