As you take this small country road heading south, the Rigi rises majestically before you. A spectacle of great beauty.

I love bridges! And this covered wooden bridge over the Reuss connects Hünenberg on the east side and Sins on the west side. From the 17th century, it connects the cantons of Zug and Aargau today. So many people pass through here even today. Very nice view from the bridge too. Rarely used on weekends and holidays.

The municipality consists of several villages and hamlets as well as individual farms scattered throughout the municipality. The main settlement of Sins, where around two thirds of all residents live, is located just under half a kilometer from the western bank of the Reuss. Slightly elevated on the eastern slope of the Totrist moraine hill (495 m above sea level) is an extensive new housing development. About two kilometers north of Sins lies the village of Reussegg (404 m above sea level) on the Reuss. About one and a half kilometers west-northwest is Meienberg (456 m above sea level). The former church district is located on an elevated level just north of the village center of Sins. The baroque parish church of the Nativity of Mary (built between 1744 and 1748) and the parish hall built in 1726, which served as a rectory until 1953, have been preserved. In places, the town of Meienberg reveals its origins as a medieval fortified town. It lies on a crescent-shaped hill and has remains of a city wall and a moat. The office building, which dates back to the Middle Ages, was rebuilt in 1575 and given its current appearance in 1765.[6] Several of the municipality's smaller villages have a chapel. These are the Eligius Chapel in Meienberg (built in 1553), the Verena Chapel in Aettenschwil (built in 1574/75), the Andreas Chapel in Holderstock (built in 1665), the Wendelins Chapel in Fenkrieden (built in 1684, enlarged in 1844), the Jost and Antonius Chapel in Alikon (built in 1756) and the Fourteen Nothelfer Chapel in Gärischwil from the first half of the 18th century.
