Very beautiful wooden sculpture

It's located right on the street, in front of a church, and impossible to miss. I found it very artificial and out of place, as it obstructs the view of the church.

A beautiful, quiet resting place with a detailed statue. However, the path there is difficult. Lots of puddles and lots of clay and mud. In other places, there's also a lot of coarse gravel and larger scree. I had to push a lot; I slipped too much on my city e-bike.

This beautiful rest area with its quaint sculptures is located directly in front of the bridge over the Nied River near Freistoff. Crossing the bridge, there's also a "regular" rest area on the other side of the Nied River.

Today, it is inhabited by a **Benedictine community** that welcomes visitors. **Tip:** The simple, spiritual atmosphere of the complex invites you to pause for a moment. Ideal for a quiet stroll or a quick visit to the monastery shop – featuring handmade products made by the nuns.
