The upper part is really fun going down (if you master the technique). Further down it gets less steep, but the scree also slides less, which makes the whole thing a bit more strenuous.

Path that runs below the south face of Tofana di Rozes, all at altitude, connects the Col dei Bos pass to the scree that leads to the Giussani refuge.

ascent of the scree that leads to the Giussani, very well-trodden and in excellent condition. Steep, but not technically difficult to tackle.

Vetta della Tofana di Rozes at 3225m altitude, offers a 360-degree panoramic view of the most important and famous peaks in the area (Civetta, Marmolada, Cinque Torri, Averau, Sass Pordoi, Piz Boè, Lagazuoi, Sella group, Fanis group etc.). The summit is reachable via the via ferrata that ascends from the west or the Normal route that ascends from the east starting from Rifugio Giussani.

Refuge at 2600m, below the start of the normal route to Tofana di Rozes, and below the walls of Tofana di Mezzo and di Dentro, spectacular place.

Normal route steep but not very exposed, there are some rocky sections, but the main difficulty is following the route correctly after the cairns appear and the blue dots indicating the way end. Furthermore, the terrain is quite crumbly, so correct footwear is mandatory. Unfortunately, during peak season it is very busy, not very exposed for a 3225m peak in the center of the Dolomites.

Some summit crosses are without a corpus, while others feature the figure of the crucified Christ. But the most famous crucifix on the Italian peninsula leads us from here to the Po Valley. There, in the 'Bassa' (lower valley), the writer Giovanni Guareschi (1908-1968) set his popular short stories about the protagonists 'Don Camillo' and 'Peppone'. But besides these two, there is another main character: Jesus Christ himself speaks from the high altar to the priest Don Camillo – whom the actor Fernandel (Fernand Joseph Désiré Contandin, 1903-1971) brilliantly portrayed in several feature films. The crucifix, originally made solely for the film adaptations, has been preserved and has become a popular tourist attraction in Brescello (Emilia-Romagna).
